Sharks! Haiku
Poetry Contest
Write a haiku on the subject of sharks. I mean the sharks that habitate in the ocean, not the human kind (lol)
17 syllables OR LESS
Picture a moment or scene using concrete images
3 lines (GENERALLY short/long/short)
2 grammatically-connected lines and 1 fragment. (This "satori" may be either line 1 or line 3)
NO ARTWORK (let words paint the picture)
Use present tense
No end rhymes
A subtle metaphor is okay
No personification
No author notes
Minimal punctuation
No capitals (except "I" and proper names)
Title like this: haiku (first line of poem)
The contest winner will win half of the prize pool of 90.00 member dollars. In this contest at least 2 submissions must be made for the vote to begin.
