Vote For 2025 NaPoWriMo

April is National Poetry Month - The challenge is to write and post 30 poems in the month of April. Any topic and any style of poetry. That is one a day for the entire month of April! Create a Book and post your poems so that everyone can follow along and review your work. Your contest entry will be one of the chapters in the book. The contest piece is often the prologue to your book announcing your NaPoWriMo project. The prologue may be posted prior to April 1st, but please do not post any other poems to the book until the contest begins. Contest dates are April 1 - April 30th. Prompts are optional, find them posted at: https://www.napowrimo.net/2025/03/
The contest begins April 1st. Poems are to be written and posted during the month of April. The prologue may be posted prior to April 1st and will help you create your book. Be sure that your "contest entry piece" is created through the contest tab.

You are creating a book under the WRITE tab. Be sure to have one piece ready to enter into the book when it is created. You are numbering your "chapters" in the book. The trend has been to use a prologue as the "contest entry" piece. That prologue is usually a poem, or could be a prelude to the poems to come.

The requirement for the contest is that your book must have thirty poems in it by the end of April. That equals one per day. Since you are allowed to post two poems a day on FanStory, this gives you a little bit of leeway if you get busy and miss a day of posting. And, be mindful of your time zone. For example, I am in Alaska, so contests end for my time zone at 8pm, rather than midnight.

Your book must contain 30 entries to qualify for the prize money.

Voting booth closes Monday, May 5th. You have -48 days left to vote.
