Vicki Ziemer: I am a retired midwife. I worked as a labor nurse for 15 years, then a midwife for 20 years. I have a great big dog, a little tiny cat, a horse, and share another elderly horse with my daughter. Since my retirement, I moved to my daughter and son in law's farm, in a little house, that looks out over the horse pasture. I am a pagan, and love being out in the country, on a dirt road, where it is dark and quiet at night. I love to sit out on my porch at night and watch meteors, fireflies and listen to the horses out in the woods to sleep at night. I have been writing off and on for years. I entered my story in a contest. It did not win, but received wonderful reviews. I am working on another story to put on the site. |

Vicki Ziemer: I am a retired nurse midwife. I have so many stories, but have chosen one of my most poignant for this True Story contest. I have many other stories, and a very interesting life, that I write about. Thank you to all who have read and commented on my story. |
