FanStory wrote to C T Curtis: There Is No Night finished second in the contest "Just for Fun (5-7-5)"

C T Curtis: I've ventured forth from my self-imposed box of confinement. Decades ago I never would have joined a Writer's Group or felt I could submit an article to a city's 'Art that Blooms' event. I've done both within the past year and enjoying new friends, and exploring poetry more fully with free verse especially.

C T Curtis: I've so much to learn yet about this site! One thing just recently (like today!) is that I add extra comments here. I thought a profile was just a one-time brief synopsis or something! Now I'm thinking perhaps it's more like my first 'blog' attempt. Anyway - I just wanted to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who has read, viewed, reviewed and commented on my beginning writing attempts! I certainly appreciate every comment and tip! I was thrilled when my writings were chosen among those to be voted! I was speechless when I won two 2nd places! Thank you everyone who voted for those writings!

    lyenochka: Congratulations! -

C T Curtis: I have a love affair with words - words evoke memories, thoughts, emotions, scents and tastes. Words help us live fully, uniquely to the individual me (or you!)
    Kingsrookviii: Yes.

Interests
Writing (obviously!) & crafts
I am a grandmother to two wonderful granddaughters; a retired legal secretary; I enjoy crafts of knitting, crocheting, attempts at quilting and sewing small stuff like hot pads, pillowcases for selling at a few flea markets during the summer. I still write articles for my church's monthly newsletter. I appreciate all comments, tips and hints!

5-7-5 An Introspection In Seventeen Syllables Moments I Have Lived
I have found it rather amazing that an existence of time can be expressed in such few words and yet provide a specific and definitive explanation.

Great reviews:
Raw with emotion - love and pain, regrets and hope, truth and tragedy. It touched me at points, made me choke up.
