I'm a member of the Pine Island Writers Group (pineislandwriters.org) who has been a jill of a few trades, most recently overseeing local tax and business licensing for a Colorado town. I was on the first wave of comprehensive marijuana enforcement and some time soon those stories will come out.

I've had some interesting times for a poor kid from Denver's west side, which gives me plenty to draw from when I write. Yet I must hurry, having only waited until recently, Quora and such notwithstanding, to really try to pursue my love of writing because I have a rare and incurable cancer that may take me in a year or so, or may let me hang on for a few years. There's no knowing, thus I have become the standard bearer for doing what you want to do sooner rather than later. I'm doing it. I hope you like some of it, or if not, can offer helpful criticism so that I may improve.
