I think I figured out why "classic" nature poetry usually somewhat bores me.
To me anyways, elegantly extolling and describing the Creator's glorious Creation without extolling and describing The Glorious Creator...it rings out to ME as somewhat empty... only a small part of what we are created for.
ONLY HALF OF THE EQUATION.
Isaiah 43:7 ESV
...everyone who is called by my name,
whom I created for my glory,
whom I formed and made....
in 1 Corinthians 10:31 we read, "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."
In commanding us to glorify Him, God is inviting us to enjoy Him. - C.S. Lewis
I maybe fashion myself a mesage crafter who likes to use poetic devices for my message. So for you purists out there: please forgive my free verse.

I am Cat: Wait... but free versers can be 'purists' as well, my dear... ;)
Ah yes, they are surrounding the wagons, aren't they? LOL There is always more to learn, wherever we are in our journey. ;)
Take it from me. Learn all the rules you can, then break them all with reckless abandon!
Write like someone left the gate open. ;) LOL I look forward to reading you.
