djeckert: I started brainstorming a few weeks ago on a writing trying to understand the complexities over the Corona virus and it's coming effect on us. I never got to really write up a lot about it. But here are some VERY important ideas to keep in mind about it all...that I feel compelled to share. Some are more thoroughly explained than others. If anyone takes issue with, or wants more info. Please ,PLEASE feel free to ask on this thread! I won't pretend to know a whole lot about the" Corona virus"or have many definitive answers for this phenomena that is taking center stage in the world's awareness. But I do know a couple of crucial points to consider when we try to navigate the waters in these most confusing and potentially scary times . And I'm not even going to talk religion. ( Getting right with your maker) They, the obvious and undeniable "Globalists ( with their admitted globalist agenda) try to skate around ( or, "make their hay" ) and take full advantage of nebulous seeming things, by declaring confusing and nebulous things , in order to obfuscate and cast confusion, fear and panic and castigation over the things that we DO know. The following list , remains true and pertinent and well worth considering, and remembering whether this viral pandemic is real or not. What WE DON'T know: The future , How deadly the virus REALLY is How quickly it spreads Now, to What WE DO KNOW:( things to always consider, no matter WHAT we don't know) What they call the "Corona" virus( or now COVID19) and where it admittedly came from. It IS a man made bio weapon given to China, reportedly by the US , through the permission of the Obama administration) The law of the Domain- people who have immune systems that are overwhelmed with inflammation or have compromised immune systems ( in which gut health is essential) are much more susceptible to any invading pathogen. The effects of 5G - This has been proven to seriously reduce and compromise a body's immune system 5G is the most prevalent in Muhan. How a virus is said to spread PCR testing- How non specific it is and how it only detects a massively boosted up antibody to a certain antigen This I think is going to turn out to be a massively important point in the near future. ( the Robert Scott Bell program is a great resource on that, as well as on the law of the Domain.) The state of Muhan- the fact that China's people were in a state of massive protest. The fact that China is in a trade war with the United States , and Muhan is a massive production region within the trade supply chain. How many already die from flu or pneumonia The history of biological warfare and Globalism The PTB (or the POOP'S ) stated goals for world population control. Remember how Mr. Obama claimed he wanted to fundamentally change America? Remember how he was prompted by some other powers to say, and push for and to DO such a thing? ( What might the shutting down of massive institutions... schools, sporting events, conventions, places of employmen etc....do fundamentally to a country? Remember how the work of Obama was being dismantled by Trump? Hmmmm....??? The integrity of our elections- What would the sudden push for online voting in the face of panic over exposure, have on an election . Online voting that would be untraceable un accountable and unfair. If this were to happen, might 2016 have been the last free election of a free America.? hmmmm.... The effects on the economy in the US. The state of an economic "bubble" in America and it collapsing or readjusting ...and the possible need to blame it on something else. ( Besides the shenanigans of the money printing POOP) The huge numbers of retiring Baby Boomers who will soon be becoming social security / Medicare liabilities to an already over extended Government. (The susceptibility of the elderly to the virus. Coincidence?) The fact that Globalist run media would love to blameTrump for his handling of the pandemic (real or imagined...or any shade between) Effects on supply chain Effects on stock market Effects on Chinese rebellion Effects on globalism rebellion Effects of fear or social panic of a pandemic ( whether real or imagined) The confusion/ delay over testing ( my own personal speculation , and observation of the evidence, is that this pathogen has been around in the US for 6 months or more ,and probably half of the US population has already been exposed to it and have dealt with it...how many deaths to pneumonia/ flu etc. Could really be blamed on this?) . The PTB now have to be very careful and controlling over who they administer the test upon. ( It needs to be only cherry picked people / groups of people in which they can control , and control the narrative around the state or condition of their "therapy" as patients. In other words, a massive and comprehensive testing would show that the antibody to this pathogen already exists in masses of Americans, and that would blow the lid on the whole thing... This is not at all to say that people aren't dying, whose physical terrain is compromised) But I could be wrong here. But the words of Steven Pieczenic a famous, former deep state operative, and Medical Doctor of Psychiatry (The Man who theTom Clancy character, "Jack Ryan" was modeled after) who was heavily involved with many deep state operations ( including the negotiation over the freeing of the American hostages in Iran) . Has been quoted as saying, and has many writings that would support my view. Confusion /delay over precautionary measures ( quarantines, testing, education , infection ) The incompetence -whether purposeful or accidental Martial law and it's effect on the bill of rights Vaccines- 5Gand vaccines- how they might work together. Also I'll point out to anyone who is not aware, that the Alex Jones show ( the finest and most uninfluenced by outside forces or agendas, balanced news and information source that is followed by more than any other news source) is still broadcasting. He always has been ( despite what MSM might be trying to lead you to believe) you can find his network at Infowars or newswars dot com. |

djeckert: I used to not believe in this thing called coincidence. I used to think it was just a figment of our imagination. An entity , of sorts, that we would invoke to comfort ourselves; to feel better about our lives and our future. I used to quote a line from one of my favorite t.v series' character, Robert Rogers ( from the most awesome show for ANY Patriot to watch, called Turn: Washington's spies). I'd quote where Mr Rogers says, "Coincidence? I've seen all manner of strange things in my years as a Queen's Ranger...BUT NEVER one of those." Obviously, my love of that quote was just based upon my own, mal-informed embracing of a bad religion that involved conspiracy theories. Obviously , my new, much better religion needs to be centered around that great godly entity, called "Coincidence". This life changing, change of religious heart, brought about by one simple fact: The fact that the loving philanthropist and Humanity loving creature , named Bill Gates, and his loving, god- like, world population control foundation called " The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation" , so...so.. obviously coincidentally own and funded the patent for the Chinese Corona virus. (Yes, they patent viruses...but , that's mere coincidence) And now , they obviously coincidentally own the patent on, and are developing a vaccine for that same virus (patent filed Nov. 2019). That same Corona virus that the loving World Health Organization, claims originated through a snake , or snakes... Yes. Yes, snakes indeed.(Coincidence) If you are unfamiiliar with or uneducated about all of the loving and humanitarian things that the Gates Foundation does for humanity...well, to quote Greta Thumberg, "Shame on YOU! " So it is THIS most obvious of coincidences that have made me change my religious tune. djeckert: What if unelected and unaccountable ( through anonymity), "contest" Judges, on this very site, are able to reward, in crony like fashion , the poets and writers that they personally agree with? (Philosophically, or religiously. Like, for instance, one of a Secular humanist nature...) I posed this question up in the past and got no indication whatsoever that what I am implying might not be true. (Along with typical apathy over cronyism col) It's a very lucrative and potentially greatly self- promoting , or selectively promoting and extremely unfair power or ability for " voice giving" that is enacted. It is something that needs to be addressed in any non dictatorial" open community" or platform ( Facebook and the like not excepted) . Is anyone else out there, perturbed by this "art immitating real life", phenomena? I would hope so. |

As to your particular point about "secular humanists" receiving favourable treatment from one or more judges, I just have to say that as someone who half fits that description, I find that really amusing. One only needs to look at some of the work that is really atrocious, but receives nothing but glowing six-star reviews because of its "devotional" nature to see where the balance of power lies on this site. djeckert: I'm sure that maybe for the more "domesticated" Fanstorians , they already know many of the answers to my following questions. But, being that I am a more "feral" feeling , fee paying Fanstorian, (Who doesn't poke around much, exploring all of the features of fanstory) and Im sure there are a lot of us feral feeling, fee paying Fanstorians out there, I am not afraid to ask some questions on the behalf of all of us. After all, I am of the belief that there are no stupid questions, only stupid people who don't ask questions. And I'm willing to maybe admit that I only just now realized that I am stupid in this area... lol. But I have some questions in regards to this nebulous seeming Fanstory contest committee: Who is in this committee ? How many members are there? How do they get on the committee? Does its makeup ever change ? How often? Are they truly representing of the differing worldviews and diversity of the fanstory community? Are they truly unbiased? Are the identities of the contest entry writers hidden to the judges? If not, what keeps the judges from voting for their personal favorite writers? ( lining the accounts of their faves with fs dollars) or at least, what keeps them from being more apt to only vote for the voices that say the kinds of things that the judges want to hear? Are the entries judged as standalone writings? ( Not influenced by the write's promotion, ranking or feedback) Do these supreme Fanstory Court judges have to pass some kind of secular humanist "litmus test" to get on the committee? lol. ( bonus question) These are all quite pertinent questions. Especially in light of the fact that the writing of poetry is an art form that is highly subjective. And it's judgement would be more prone to the subjective issues (and lucrative to some,) judging biases that I raise. I know that prose writing and the judgement of it, for technical things, like form, and grammar and perhaps paragraph structure ... especially in something like an essay, can be more objectively judged. ( But that isn't at all the bread and butter of Fanstory) In regards to the poetry and poetry as an art form ( that ironically seems tied to popularity contests), my raised points and questions could use some answers. I know...we write for the enjoyment of it. But it seems that the tables could be tilted a bit, and that lucrative "judgement reward ball" seems to always roll into those more popular, or "favored" holes. I'd appreciate anyone sharing their input or answers to some of these questions. |

Blind contests only reveal the writing under review. I disagree with your biased assessment about the difference between poetry and prose. Poetry is as organized and subjected to "rules" as any type of prose writing including essays. When it comes to judging poetry anywhere in this world each form is analyzed by certain criteria, starting with the highly structured sonnet, which includes a thesis, antithesis, and synthesis written with a clearly defined metre and rhyme pattern, to the seeming lack of structure implied by the title free verse. Chief among these rules are grammar, adherence to form, gaps in reasoning, use of mixed metaphors, lack of literary devices, disjointed or absent imagery, clarity, uneven metre use of cliches to name but a few in the template of adjudicating poetry. that most formal and classic "poetry" bores the living shit out of me , and it usually comes across to me as sickening and makes me gag when I hear people recite most of it.
