Hi, my name is
Nancy Ann Hemsworth, and I am from St. John,
NB Canada. I love the Maritime Coast line and enjoy writing descriptive poems about nature and its beauty. I also love to write short poems with punch! Which include "haiku, tanka, and senryu poems, because I enjoy the challenge of writing in such limited forms. I have been writing poems off and on since a child, but have really sharpened my pencil in the last couple of years, and it has become a real passion for me. My scribbles of late have started to include a few short story , mostly in rough form for now.
I work as a teacher's assistant in classrooms for developmentally challenged children, and get great joy for this. I have been working in different aspects of this field since a youngster of 17. A lot of years!, and still liking it. This too can be a challenge, and I feel that I am doing something worthwhile, which is a good feeling.
I also sketch, paint in acrylics, and watercolors and though I enjoy this as well, I truly feel that writing is my passion, for I seem to be able to paint with my pen much easier than with brush.
