Thekkathil NJohnson : Award winner of Design Low cost Residential Building for the Project of Rajeev Gandhi Coir Village( Prime Minister's Program Govt. of India ) The State Government of Kerala in 1987, Constructed in Kerala, Kollam (Dt.). Two Villages Panayam and Perinad had been constructing to demonstrate the Residential building and handed over the employees families of coir society in Kandachira by The Honorable Centre Minister for social welfare, Government of India .As per the design more than 2000 houses constructed allover in Kerala state by Central Government through Panchayath. In 1988, no one to took care the strike of Coir workers in Kerala for minimum salary. All Political Trade Unions turned their face from strike of poor people. In spite of the situation, he took over the leadership and organized a Trade Union for coir employees. Then the Trade unionists were opening their eyes to coir employees strike. The strike extended up to two months. The employees tired by starvation and illness. The State Government never was minding the coir employees strike. Every day morning all employees were gathering to cost of Akshtamudi Lake at Kandachira and prepared food for all by the collected materials from public. Every day after finishing food he was addressing to employees to the importance of strike continue and strengthened the employees. At last, the district Collector called him to conciliation to stop coir employees strike and made agreement with coir manufactures for minimum salary Rs. 40/day instead of Rs. 08.25/day. This was a historical strike in coir field and minimum salary right revolution for all industrial workers like Cashew workers, Hand weave workers in Kerala. 1977 to 1984 He worked as Librarian for Samyojana Smaraka Grandha Sala,Kandachira that was one of the library running by the grand from state government in Kerala State. SAMADHERSI: President, State Central committee of Samadhersi Samskarika Vedi One of the social reforming organization based in Kollam, Kerala. Samadhersi Staged One drama named Opparation Green Channel Written by Mr. Kunjumon Thaha,Directed by Mr. Udayakumar Chaidanya, subject based upon the Employee strike of Mavoor Rayons Factory. The Drama was banned by State government by the interest of communist Party of India(Marxist). 1984 he entered in to Government service as 2nd grade Overseer in P W D, KIP35/9,(MCS) , Pandalam, Pathanamthittah(Dt.),Kerala. |
