samsong#2: I dropped out of Fanstory awhile back for the reasons I stated below when I rejoined this year. It is only right now to post here that this has been a very rewarding time. There have been some ups and downs in the road but overall there's a different attitude toward submissions. The possibility of registering a copyright is a big plus to being a member. Everything I've looked into or inquired about seems to express much greater concern for the members. Any questions I've had have been amswered and explained if necessary. Thank you Tom, and any other staff, who has been involved in revamping the methods used. It's good to be back. Wish I could find the time to be more active. |

samsong#2: Not too much to share here since I am a former member. I dropped out for a while for health reasons and to pursue other interests. I became disenchanted at having to constantly buy ways to promote my work. If work is good enough to post it should reach a good level of promotion on its own. I really came back to the site to get the wording on something I wrote the last time I was a member -- decided to stick around a little while and see if anything has changed or if you still have to buy your way to 'recognized' or 'best'. Those are nice terms but awards should be on the merit of the work. I write poetry and prose most of the time but may venture into a story here or there along the way. |
