Shaun Hess: How long have you been writing poetry and how did it become part of your life?
shelley kaye: since i was like 15 or 16.... and with a dream :)

    -
Shaun Hess: Awesome! I started writing at the same age! -

Shaun Hess: I seriously have something to say, but I don't know if it would be appropriate since it would be a confession of identity.
DIS-illusioned: Oh my lawd! Are you...?! Could you really be...?! No! Surely, there's no way that you're...?! Wow! -

Shaun Hess:

A waking up from life's suspension
Is a waking from an unsung heaven

-from my poem "unsung heaven" referring to sleep as a reliever of life :)

Shaun Hess: This new profession which has found me
Helps me sleep at night so soundly :)

I love my words lol

Shaun Hess: So I was sitting between an atheist and a Christian... The atheist heard the Christian talking to me and asked what he was talking about. I told him "everything." Then the atheist began talking to me and the Christian asked me what he was talking about. I told him "nothing."
adewpearl: I need to introduce you to my two children, both atheists and fascinating people :-) -
Shaun Hess: O wow!!! Well do you know what I meant by my post? -
    DIS-illusioned: That's a biased/opinionated post. But, to each his own. :-p -
Shaun Hess: Actually :) I meant it as in I was "in between" an atheist and a Christian. If you look at it in a different reading or interpretation, I am not a full-blown christian or an atheist. I am right in between IN MY THINKING. I have been both places, I have tried to imagine what "nothing" is. I knew at one point in my life that Christ is EVERYTHING. That is what I meant. -
Ridley Williams: Shaun, Ridley here, I have to apologize, I finally figured out why the messages I was sending you were blank. Chalk it up to a poor understanding of my computer. I've never sent an E-mail before, cell phones don't even work where I live (I bought my first cell phone about 6 months ago for emergencies on the road.) I'm slowly getting a grip on this site and my technology, anyway when you get a chance drop me a note I think I'll be able to answer this time. -

Shaun Hess: If you had to choose 1 poem that is your favorite, what would it be and why? Let me know and I will review it :)
Shirlena: Okay, then go read "neath the moon" on my page please and I will thank you now and then thank you again after your review ;). SMOOCHES -
nor84: We're not supposed to solicit reviews in the forum. To accept Shaun's invitation, poets should send him a PM (private message.) -
Kiki12: I don't think this is soliciting, it's someone new to the site asking an innocent question, soliciting means you reached out to ask that your work be read. this is a profile page, not sent to everyone. -
    DRG24: Gate to Fate -

Shaun Hess: I need more fans lol I really like this website I just wish it wasn't such hard work to get people to read your pieces!
Shirlena: I don't have many fans either and even some who became my fans don't seem to act very fan like and I still don't know what I'm doing here. I guess it because some of the people who do like my writing seem more sincere. Like anything where people show case their talents it become a competition. They start believing their own hype and once they feel like they've reached certain plateau it's almost as if supporting someone else will make them loose their spots. Some are very mean spirited and harsh in their reviews but it is only to mask their insecurity and hold on to their worth, whatever they think that is. Take it from some one who many have used as target practice but you know I stopped caring about how vicious and non supportive they can be, relaxed and threw myself into the joy of writing and the negativity disappeared-smile. Don't let it get you down sweetie, it'll change for you so stay up. -

Shaun Hess: What if I told you I had a confession. How would you reply? Would you ask me to confess it? Or let me keep it bottled up inside?
Cookie333: As a counselor, I would ask that you confess to someone close to you. I would not want you to keep something inside
    k -
Shaun Hess: Just a little deep rhyme I thought up- I didn't mean anything super serious about it lol -
Selina Stambi: Welcome to Fanstory, Shaun. I hope you get more fans than you know what to do with! :) -

Poetry of course and my darling Kelly Rogers :)
Yes! I am extremely young for all this poetry business but I must say: if I had to choose a profession in life and if it were to give me enough income to just get by and be happy with someone that could accept me for the awesome person I am, then I would choose to be a poet. And very few women these days could accept such a simple guy like me, but that's all the better for when I do find that one, for she will love me not for what I have, but for what I am.
