    Antonin70: Very true. I would say that love is how we manage to cope with the various things that hurt us. Therefore love only hurts when we actually lose that in some specific way. But this is very rare. Cheers. Anton. -
    DBastian: I like that thought! I suspect the purer our love, the more we are able to distinguish the feelings that return to us when we do love. Those expecting something in return and are rejected think they hurt because they love. When we lose someone ... they die or leave us ... we feel sad because we miss them ... they were a part of our lives that has withered and thus part of us is dying. Maybe the one part of love that is painful is when we love someone and see them going through pain ... we bare part of that pain with them; we have joined forces with their journey and struggle with them.

    Sapphire33: I have to disagree Love can hurt, because in certain relationships if you know that person in which you love is hurting other people, and you are in denial about it, then love can hurt, in my particular case love hurt big time and I was a fool for staying for 7 years. -
