    Celtic~Soul: If you give a fair rating with supporting and constructive feedback, you should expect nothing less than a polite reply and thanks. If an author argues or gives a snarky reply, you should report him or her to site admin. -
    nor84: No, don't be careful. If you give less than 5 stars and are attacked, click 'contact us' above and report the incident to site administration. This is a WRITING site, and proper reviewing is encouraged, which is why the site awards $100 every month for Reviewer of the Month. The only way we can grow in our craft is by proper reviewing by knowledgeable writers and poets. Do not be intimidated by rude authors. -

    I'll leave names out of here, but here's what happened.

    I gave a 3 star review with the feedback: I liked the image of the two samurai, being that this is a story from the point of a warrior. It's a clever take on the tired Angel/Devil on the shoulder. I was let down towards the ending, hoping it would continue to be different from the Angel/Devil we have seen a thousand times before, but it ended with them being evenly matched. I would have enjoyed seeing something happen at the end, or if nothing happened, then having it leave some kind of question for me to ponder, but that didn't seem to come full circle. I did enjoy the opening though.

    Their response was: this is a riddle. you are supposed to guess the ending. don't read my work any more.

    Then they went to my latest story with a 1 star review and wrote: 'this is garbage my 5 year old grandson could write better.'

    I'm just glad they are teaching their grand children the valuable lesson of you can't please everyone :P -
    Selina Stambi: Whoa! I can't believe someone could be so revengeful ..... there are also folks who pour pure acid into their reviews - I find it hard to understand .... constructive criticism seems to mean different things to different folks, I guess!!
