mmjg65: Gonna gripe now...

I love spending a lot of time on a review, only to have the author not even bother replying. Yet they will respond effusively to those who have sufficiently kowtowed in their reviews. Oh, well. It tells me who to not bother reviewing anymore, I suppose. Yes, I keep a list; my time is precious, if only to me.

Okay, enough griping. Onward!
Imogen JH: Yep. Welcome to Fanstory. -
William Walz: Sometimes you're the bug, sometimes you're the windshield. -
mmjg65: Who gets to be the wiper? -
mmjg65: Oh, and just for the record, that list is very, very, very short. Most people are really awesome in both directions! -
Debra White: We share the same gripe ;) -
mmjg65: I'm glad it happens only very rarely...
    -
ProjectBluebook : I concur... you got it right. Welcome aboard, mate. Time is money. Life is precious. No one knows how much gas is left in the tank. cheers... -
JJ Rowe: Those people should be so thankful! I know I am!! Also if they don't appreciate how helpful your feedback is AND your movie quotes 'n jokes then it's their loss! :) -

mmjg65: Should I be varying my titles on short stories that come in more than one installment?
William Walz: I wouldn't. Some readers might be confused if you do. Use the same title, then as an addition make it part one, part two, etc. as needed. I don't like breaking up my stories into parts, but if you want to maintain reader interest it is paramount. -
mmjg65: Okay, I was just checking. Your suggestion was the route I chose, before I second-guessed myself. I don't like to break mine up either, but this one was too long for a short story and too short for a book. -

mmjg65: Yep, all better now for me too.

mmjg65: Is anyone else having problems with this site? I can't post or read work, contact anyone on the site or anything else. If anyone can read this, please respond.
adewpearl: it all cleared up for me after a little down time -
michaelcahill: It was insane for a while going to strange screens right in the middle of posting too. All better now. :) -

mmjg65: Too bad I didn't know there was a contest asking for 5-7-5 poems with the word "autumn" in it before I posted mine this morning. Good thing I love irony.
    PatVallesMangan: :) lol

nor84: That prompt comes back around, as do ones about spring, summer, and winter. Just check the Contests tab at the top of your screen to see what's coming up and when. -
mmjg65: Well, it's not too awful a thing. This one managed to write itself in about five minutes. I should be so lucky all the time, but I'll take whatever miracle comes along!

mmjg65: Reviewed until my eyeballs passed out.

mmjg65: Hooray! I finally got ranked! It's better to be ranked than to be ranked on. Although being ranked on is how one gets ranked, and why does everything have to be so confusing...
rosehill (Wendy): Rankles, doesn't it -
    mmjg65: Haha! Touche! -

mmjg65: Quondo omni flunkus mortati
(when all else fails, play dead)
Mystic Angel 7777: Et confortatum est crescere in perseverantia which means It is in persistence we grow and become strong. Have faith in yourself and the words you release from within you. -
mmjg65: Cliches, cliches...if I find them in your works, beware. If you point them out in mine, I'll thank you. Something is wrong when we riddle our work with cliches; let alone use them as titles, and nobody says anything. Please help stamp out these insidious little critters!
