On April 2, 1939 on a cold, rainy night near Burton's Mill in the southwestern part of Arkansas Notlob drew his first breath. He was almost an April Fool's child and spent most of his life attempting to live up to that dubious namesake. The USAF was his home for a few years following graduation, after that he traveled this great land, observing much, because he born under the sign of the Ramblin' Man. He worked many years as a Linotype operator, and many more as cook on oil platforms, drilling rigs and boats in the Gulf of Mexico. He settled down finally in Cajun Country with his beautiful wife Dottie and is as happy as a fat tick on a hound. He has always been an avid reader of novels. Something inside him kept saying that he could write as well as a lot of the authors he was reading. About 14 years ago he set out to do just that. He has four completed, but as yet, unpublished novels, short stories, and a hodgepodge of poems to his credit.
