Phoenyx Prodigy: Seems like the love bug has been busy in the last month. Is it normal to get the sick feeling or am i suffering from a cruel disease?

    James Sarzotti: Maybe write and submit more continuously. I have a similar problem. Also, I have a problem with my rating. I blame myself first, and my reader's taste second. For instance, I thought your submission for the love poem contest, like mine, really had something specific to say about romantic love. But what ends up winning is a poem, with low stakes, about a kitten. It's a fun poem, but very light weight. I've been seriously writing poetry since the mid-70's. Studied with Beats, et al. And what I'm finding here at times is a kind of Hallmark hell, with pictures competing with words. What do you think? (Feel free to check my poems out before responding.) JS -
