Creative writing became my forte at a very young age. I learned to read, write and spell at a very early age. Words were as magic as the imagination itself. Words formed sentences, and sentences formed stories. This amazed and intrigued me. This inspired my way of life. Writing became a tool and yet it was the clay itself for which I shaped all my thoughts while growing into the writer I am today.
I was first published in our local newspaper when I was in the 6th grade. I had written a poem about Christmas, after all every child believes in the magic of Christmasâ??right? Writing became a way to express myself, imagine, dream, and accomplish this with magicâ??the magic of words. Words are powerful and paint images in your mind, they are a great escape. My passion for writing grew stronger as I entered my high school years and it saved me from failing. I wrote journals and poetry as well as short stories.
By the time I married my best friend and had three kidsâ??I had a collection of poems, love stories, dramas, comedies, memoirs, past regrets, joys, articles, creative ideas and thoughts. My hope is to pass on to my children; that their imagination and belief in magic and their faith in God will guide them and inspire them and to always enjoy their love for words.
