This is far too sacred a craft to cheapen with heavy handed words. Poetry is a feeling, it's an emotion that should be shared with others in a fashion suitable for all readers. Two masters and a doctorate degree should not be required when reading a poem. It just seems to me that I can relate to a poem a whole lot easier when I understand all the words used in that piece. I am not ignorant in the ways of the English language. I just see no point in using words in my writing that I would never use in my day to day vocabulary. Take it as you will, but to me..... Simplicity is bliss.
