athenas_mausoleum: I am working on my submission for the horror story contest, and am finding it both extremely easy, and extremely disturbing at the same time. I have unfortunately seen my fair share of specters in this life.
I just hope that I don't disturb my readers with the things I reveal in this story. It will neither be gory nor violent, but it will still be scary... because its based on true events.

athenas_mausoleum: Betrayer is undergoing some revisions and editing. Hopefully I will be able to perfect it.

athenas_mausoleum: I am beginning to find that I should have dedicated more of my time to this endeavor rather than to such other fruitless pursuits.

My name is Betsaida Jimenez. I am a fledgling writer, and fully intend to make a career of my writing. I'm aware that at this point I still have much to learn. Hopefully, with assistance I will be able to perfect my writing so that it is worthy of readers.

I do not intend to make the world out to be a cruel place. I am aware that unfortunate things happen, and they cannot always be prevented.
In all reality, I love life and love my family. It is for them that I write, and it is for them that I live.

Bio:
I was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, to a then-young mother who was struggling with an abusive husband. At the time that I was born, my mother had already suspected my father of abusing my sister, who was then six years old. My mother soon discovered that he had actually been sexually abusing her.

Against all odds, she fought to have him removed from our home and sent to jail.

When I was six, my mother and my two siblings immigrated to California. There, my youngest brother was born. We grew up in relative poverty, but at least we were away from the reach of my father and his resentful family.

Unfortunately, as a child I too was abused by a man in my neighborhood. He was sentenced to serve time, and was eventually released many years later, but the scars that my sister and I acquired from the crimes of those men remained with us for a very long time.

Now 25 years old, I can say that I have come to terms with all that happened to us. I have not had any children, but my time is devoted heavily to my sister's four kids, two of which are now in high school.
