Born the last year of the wheat backed penny, I began torturing my mother by "breaching" the objective in the early morning hours of 11 April 1958. I have since felt it is important to test the water with your feet first prior to jumping in.

I am a retired Field Artillery Sergeant Major, a proud servant of my country for 28 years.

Throughout my adult life I have used poetry to entertain, mock, review, and inspire my fellow Soldiers. The greatest honor I've ever had with my poetry is to read my poem "Omaha" to my Brigade on the Normandy beaches. The effect was powerful. The honor was beyond words.

I've been told that I've missed my calling by enough people now that I've decided to see how right, or wrong those people were. Fanstory is my diving board of self discovery, or it is my rude awakening that, nice as my work may be, it is not good enough to pursue.

My only prayer as I continue to post is that the honesty of these talented member swell enough to alert me of my truth, whatever that might be. I do not want to become a Don Quixote in this aging vessel.

And if you've read this far... you're either bored or your intrigued. Either way, thanks.

Sean
