Gooloom: where do i find all my written work? Have you deleted it?

Gooloom: I want to send my poems to my Facebook friends. But when I do so I get "send recipients name". The recipient's name is there otherwise to whom will i send? Obviously the recipient and yet i keep on getting this message only. Tom's reply I cannot understand. Please one of you help me and let me know how to send my writeups on FB. Thanks a lot. Gooloom
Nick©: I do know that if you look up at the top of the page, and hover your mouse over 'My Menu' a drop down bar appears. If you select 'My Portfolio', everything you've written appears. Scroll down at the very bottom and you should see a link that reads 'How to Share this Portfolio.' Clicking that will open a pop up box with the URL of your portfolio. By copying and pasting that URL, you can then send it in a message to your Facebook friends. Hope this helps. -
Gooloom: why copy and paste? why not send directly by clicking on share on the FB link? Thanks. -

Gooloom: Well I do not have enough member dollars to raise my written work and am not able to buy them as I am an Indian and our currency is the Ruppee. And what ever bonus I get for my reviews has to have a base certificate , for which I usually do not enough dollars to purchse. What shall I do? Leave fanstory? any suggestions? Gooloom
    redrider6612: Review, review, review. -
Sally Carter: No alternative but to keep reviewing! I occasionally buy a few member dollars, but I have never had enough to promote my work further than the very bottom of the first page. Prose has some good rewards, even though it still seems to take ages. Good luck! -
Nicnac: Reviewing others work will gain you the money you need. Become a fan of good, busy authors and review them regularly. Good luck! -
mojo78: I am always reviewing work and entering contest not that it gets me further up the ladder, am new to all this in between charity work and other projects i barely have time. -
Laidy: review the written work and earn thats what everyone else does -
Alexander E Poet: BROOKLYN Poet QQ. Thank you. !Happy New Year !!! -
Charmane: No! Do not leave this site!
    Read and Review! -
Mr.muttley: I can only echo what has before me been stated. A lot of reviewing. I have been able to promote only a few of my pieces, through reviewing and responding I have managed to gain a following of some awesome individuals here on Fan-Story. The more friends you make, the more who enjoy your work for its merit not its monetary value. I have read many works worth the standard, 1 point 2 cents. This out of respect, for those who do so reading mine, and because there are some dang good pieces out there worth the read. Review, enjoy, post often your works. In time you will get what you are looking for.

Jean Lutz: Just keep on reviewing -- one piece at a time. It is slow but keep anticipating what it will feel like when you can finally promote your own work. -
Merajul: review the poems on first & second pages on priority as they carry more points and accumulate the member dollars on payback quikly. Can go thru other poetries liesurely. -
Mastery: Yours is an unusual situation...I would chewck with Tom, also. He may advise the best. Bob -

Gooloom: I have won one free adv. banner supreme. What doesthat mean ? Do i have to useit to promote my work or the work reviewed by me? each tome i win something and have to pay from my member dollars and my level does not seem to rise at all. I stay in India. i would like to pay in ruppees and not cerdit card. This is very frustrating as I cannot uncderstand why I have to pay to raise my own writings? Gooloom
--Turtle.: Hi Gooloom, The adv banner is something you put on a writing you would like to promote, and for a brief time, it puts a link to your writing on the Since 2000 Fanstory.com banner at the top of the site.

The pay scale keeps people reviewing, making a chasing the tiger tale circle. You pay to raise your writings, so you will review people who have money on there writings, so you can pay to raise your writing.

Kind of frustrating, and sometimes you don't get all the reviews you'd like, but there are some good things about it too.

Gooloom: thanks a lot for your answer. It is very frustrating and my account never seems to go beyond 7 to 8 dollars. Thanks again. Gooloom -

Gooloom: Whenever I want to promote my work by purchasing member dollars. I get "Sorry you cannot affotd this" What have i to do to afford this? i am writing reviews all the time, but I keep on getting this message. I am sorry to keep on writing about this topic. Does it mean I have to pay in cash?? Please be clear and help me. Gooloom
shelley kaye: go to your "my" menu at the left left corner and click on "my certificates" this is where you buy the certs to promote your posts - at the top it'll show how much 'member dollars' you have. -
adewpearl: Member dollars are earned by reviewing. You never have to pay cash if you would rather pay with dollars earned through reviewing - I have never paid cash in close to two years. Certificates cost $9.95 in member dollars - you should be able to earn enough for one by reviewing less than a dozen high-paying posts. -
Gooloom: THANK YOU Shelley and adwepearl. I am reviewing and still getting "you cannotafford This". That is puzzling me. when will I be able to afford this? Gooloom -
patmedium: Gooloom, what you need to do is go to the Home Page. All the writers on the top half of the page pay 'top dollar' for the reviews. After you have reviewed all in BOTH columns, you click on the arrows which will take you into page one of the poetry or page one of the prose. Work your way down the pages from there. I usually post mine to somewhere on page two. This will cost me $31 member dollars for poetry to buy one treasure chest and seven member cent pumps. It is about six dollars cheaper to post prose to page two. Pat. -
patmedium: P.S. I have scrolled through a few pages of your reviews ... just to count how many you do per day. I find any number between one and five. In order to find enough 'money' to post with, you would have to review for several weeks at that speed. I have to 'save up' to post. I will usually review frantically until I have seventy dollars, then I will make two posts. After that, I review again until I have saved enough money for another two posts. Pat. -

Gooloom: I am not sure what is meant by member dollars. Is it money or points one gets for writing and reviews? Gooloom
redrider6612: Member dollars are used to promote your posts. Buy a certificate (pot of gold or treasure chest) and add member cent pumps to move it up the list. The higher you move it, the more reviews you receive. In my experience, the higher you promote, the fewer useful reviews you will receive. The points effect your reviewer rank, which really has no value, IMHO. Enjoy! -
Gooloom: thanks for your answer. So it does not inolve money? I mean cash. Pl reply. Thanks again. GT -
    Lady & Louis: Hi Gooloom,

"Member dollars" are FanStory dollars which, as Red said, are what we use to buy certificates. But we can get those dollars either by reviewing - earning what any given work pays - or by buying them with real money.

We also earn points when reviewing, but they're just ranking things within FanStory and don't actually earn anything. I think people look more at how many dollars or cents a piece pays, than the points, when they review! I know I don't take any notice of the points.

Hope this clarifies it! :) -
Gooloom: Thank you Lady. I do not think i can afford buying with real money. So i willjust stick to reviewing. Gooloo m -
LovnPeace: Gooloom, you can buy a cheaper promo for your work if you want. It is 6.95 and last two days. It won't get many reviews, but will reward your fans for something for their loyality. I don't post for reviews anymore, but treasure all who read. I am not able to always reward, but I still need to write and post my work in my portfolio on here. If you want many reviews you will need to review many works. Points used to mean more then they do now, so it is fanstory dollars that count.

You have gotten so good answers. If you still have problems you are welcome to PM me or Tom the administrater. Blessings. Barbara -
Gooloom: Thank you all dear ones for your advice. But i am still at a loss to understand whyi have to pay to post my own work. ?Gooloom -
ladybird: When members reply and say you have to 'pay' to post your work, this doesn't mean you have to pay in real money, or Rupees in your case. All it means is that every time you review a posting on this site, you are 'paid' in virtual money, which basicaly means that it is worth nothing, except as a means of posting your own work on here.Review the highly 'paid' postings until you have enough 'virtual dollars' to post your own work. In the left hand bar when opened you will see certificates. Go into this, there you can 'purchase' with your virtual dollars a certificate for either a two day listing of your work for $6.95 or a four day certificate for $9.95.The banner adds, member cent pumps ect are all means of promoting your work higher up the posting pages. At no time do you have to pay with real money. Hope this has helped. -
Gooloom: yes it has. thanks a lot. Gooloom -
