djyarrum is a pseudonym, chosen not to protect the authors identity but because there are far too many David Murrays around who are keen on writing. David has always enjoyed writing poetry. He particularly enjoys poems that rhyme. Recently he completed his first novel and is presently having it 'read' with a view to finding a publisher. A couple of years back he self published an autobiography (which is available over the net through Zeus Publishers) as a means of developing a writing style, it was titled "An Early Boomer" as David was born in 1945 i.e. at the start of what is known in Australia as The Baby Boomer period. A man of many interest some of which are: Kayaking, golf, walking, cycling and fishing, he is retired and lives in Sydney, Australia. Over the past year writing has taken over from golf as his number one hobby.
From time to time he does volunteer work with the indiginous Australian community. Earlier this year he helped set up a Sport and Rec program in an outback town in Western Australia and early in 2010 he is off to Darwin in the Northern Territory to help out with a property management project.

Fit and very active 64 year old. Golf handicapp currently 12. I am about to take up surf board riding an activity that should prove interesting.
