Betty Bleen

Betty Bleen: I am a poet and have one published book, Bad Red Shoes. My work has appeared in various anthologies, in the US & the UK. I won 4th place in the national Blackberry Peach Spoken Word & Poetry contest in 2018 and again in 2024. I have read my poetry at various venues in the area and will be reading June 9th, 2024 at the Columbus, OH Arts Festival. I work full time as a Program Assistant for the Veterans Resource Center at the Volunteers of America OH & IN. I collect troll dolls and paint stones. I am a mother and grandmother of 8. I live with my husband of 15 years and a persnickety old cat named Mittens.
