Janelle: I have just returned to the land of Fanstory again, after a two year break (my real-life had become way to busy to spend the amount of hours I was playing on FS!)

I am looking forward to catching up with old friends, making new ones and growing even further as a writer, as I read, review other writers' works and post my own.

My reviews are written in the context that FS is primarily a writers site, here to assist writers grow and improve their work, as well as meet like-minded people. I therefore rate my reviews accordingly, no matter how heart wrenching or emotional the subject of the work is. I believe we are all here to get feedback, constuctively provided by each other. Sometimes a good piece can be made excellent, or even exceptional with just a tweak here and there.

I offer my suggestions with respect and in the spirit of providing constructive criticism and I expect no less from people reviewing my own work.

I look forward to interacting with as many other writers I can, reviewing their work and having mine, also constructively critiqued. Regards, Jan

Sally Carter: I don't think I know your work, Jan, but welcome back, and I like your reviewing ethos! -
Janelle: Thank you Sally. Please feel free to take a peek in my portfolio, your feedback would be welcome. :) -
DIS-illusioned: No less than 7-star reviews for me please, as you relay to me how you can't live without my work. -
Janelle: Ha,ha ha! That of course is a given DIS-illusioned, providing of course it's a mutual exchange. I will of course make sure I write as much as I can so you will not experience an early demise for lack of it! :) -

Janelle: I've just finished reading "The gang of four" by Liz Byrski, an Aussie author. Amazing book on so many levels. Made me laugh out loud and cry myself soggy. I love it when a book does that. Reccomend it highly.
tonydem: Hi, Janelle, I was just checking to see if there was anything to clean up before I took my hiatus and I saw your message. That was sweet. It's nothing serious. I just recently lost my dog of twelve years and I have no motivation at all. I hope you were able to find the poem you were looking for in my portfolio. If not let me know and I'll send it to you. Thanks for the kind words.

Janelle has been a member of Fanstory since 2008. She writes for fun and relaxation, to express her feelings, capture a particular experience or just to let off steam.

She is here to learn and grow as a writer and expects and appreciates honest feedback and constructive criticism. Her reviews reflect the same attitude and are always proferred with respect.

She lives in Melbourne, Australia, is married with four children aged from 44 to 30 and is a very proud and passionate Aussie. (This means that you will need to factor in differences in spelling and some grammar. Who knows, you may even get to learn some favourite Aussie expressions and slang! :)

My choice is not to be a door mat, rather, a persian rug, so there will be no wiping of your feet on me, thankyou. LOL.
