Writewoman: Off to the publisher with My Dear Aunt Martha, my 19th century epic history. Check out what History Professor at Brigham Young University, Dr. Susan Rugh had to say about it at www.writetotheheart.wordpress.com. |

Writewoman: Gee, last June I said that I was in the final stages of my epic history. Six months later, and 18 hours per day for the last year and a half, and I am STILL in the final stages! I hope those history buffs among you will visit www.writetotheheart.wordpress.com to comment upon this mission to which I feel assigned. |

Writewoman: I am in the final stages of an epic history, based upon the contents of 75 pioneer letters (1813-1893). This never-before published collection provides first person commentary on the War of 1812, the settlement of Illinois, the Mormon War in Illinois, the Mexican War, the Civil War, Lincoln's funeral train, a soldier's perspective on Gen. George Armstrong Custer, the Colorado and the California Gold Rushes. This project has consumed my time and energies for the last year. Tentative title is MY Dear Aunt Martha -- A Pioneer Epic in the Words of Those Who Lived It. I would have preferred to complete it to a publisher's specs but have decided to self publish to my own specs. I would appreciate marketing suggestions. |
