copperjil: I have been away from FanStory for quite awhile. Just saying hello again to all my friends; thank you for past reviews. I have several new projects that I am starting. One is my own memoir, including the adoption story shared in some of my poetry here. I have begun with that story, actually, attempting to locate people who were associated with the maternity home, as well as telling a history of that home.

Also picking up a blog I had begun last year, and continuing it as an exercise in writing.

Finally, (and I welcome input) I plan to begin writing other people's family stories as told by the oldest patriarch/matriarch. This springs from a therapy technique used with elderly patients, which I did during my grad work toward a gerontology degree. The intention is to preserve those personal stories that so quickly fade from a family. Nothing intense like genealogy, just life in their own words.
