I joined Fanstory to help give some exposure to my poetry and short stories, and honestly, as I am retired, to hopefully win some cash prizes!
I am a former soldier with the British Army (HM Forces Veteran), and recently retired from over 30 years working and living in Africa - 10 of those as a Safari Guide, Adventure and Mountain/Expedition Leader and the remainder as a Security Contractor working for PMCs or Security Adviser to NGOs. I now live back in the UK.
I have four kids, two sons in their forties - one is a skilled a handyman and one works with computer software and programming, the next son is in his early twenties and is in the Royal Navy , and the next is my teenage daughter, who is studying for qualifications to join the British Army as a Nurse.
