LOL!! So you took out the thesaurus to go along with your dictionary -brain and really touched on a few 'sticking points' for many of us out here, my lady.... but you did it with such 'flair' that I'm pretty sure some will miss a few... ;) :) Thanx for sharing your amusing alliteration affair! :) :) Thanx for sharing! ;) Yvette

Thanks for getting my poem. It'll fly over the heads of some, no doubt.

Hello LisaMay,
I really enjoyed your poem, it's very cleverly done and must've taken an absolute age to perfect!
Thanks for sharing so many excellent fancy words that I could only ever dream about using so effectively.
Best wishes, Debra :)

This must've taken you a long while to create, but its very cool! You definitely have a way with words, I will say. You covered about every feeling, nuance and category of poems. That's why I love poetry. There is always something new to write about, or a new form in which to write. You prove that in this poem!

Thanks for your warm review, Tina. I hope people don't take anything I wrote personally - I was just having fun. Three cheers for variety!

I sure didn't take it personally. There are all variations of moods and tones in poetry. It was fun to read, for sure!

Whoa girl! That was something! Did you get lexicon indigestion?! I read this three times--the third time aloud to my husband just because he wonders, sometimes what keep me glued to the site for hours... Not at all easy to pull it off--and with such skill! Using "fifty-cent" words (as my Dad used to refer to the big words we would ask him to help us pronounce when we were young.) Your poem's not tortured at all! I would be if I tried to do it! Kudos for originality and a Gold Medal in the recently formed (just now, by me) WORD OLYMPICS!--Karenina

Thanks for your positive response to my word soup. I didn't get lexicon indigestion writing it but I bet some readers did.
A reviewer set up a contest challenge after reading my poem. maybe you should have a go at entering?

Lisa,
Since I adore alliteration, I found this poem fun. I thought that your words were wonderfully use. You skillfully show several good graces and horrible, heinous examples of poetry and prose. The poem can also describe President Trump's tantrums.
Keep writing and stay healthy.

Don't get me started on Trump - what a mangle job he does of the English language (and of being president). Thanks for your positive response to my poem.

    I agree. You're welcome.

Bravo! You did a top notch job with this offering. I love alliteration and this piece was overflowing. Recently I read the book 'Too Much and Not Enough' by Trump's niece. Having the vocabulary of a six year old is the least of his problems.

At last check about two weeks ago, I saw that there were 51 books written about Trump. The only other one I read was 'Fear' by Bob Woodward of Watergate fame. Anyway, here's a nice shiny star - you earned it. Hugs, Lou

    Thanks so much, Louise!
I doubt that Trump supporters read much - they sure don't seem well-informed about all the reasons why he shouldn't be President... and if they maintain their blinders they are complicit in bringing the country down to his level of ignorance, arrogance, and chaos.

I can imagine the fun you had in writing this heavily loaded alliterative heavy weight of a poem; I also sense a bit of sarcasm; Lisa May as Communications Director for Donald Trump's second term!

Yes, this piece is heavily loaded with sarcasm. I hope nobody is personally offended, but if they are, then they must identify with some truism I've penned.
Now... Wash your mouth out with soap!!!! I would NEVER consider working for Trump, only against him to remove him from office. I pray every day that he doesn't get a second term.

Hi Lisa
I have to give you a sixer here, my dear. It must have been a lot of work writing so much alliteration, line after blistering line. Of course, it's exaggerated to the nth degree. But you've made your point. You denounce the overuse of figures of speech. It's like a song that never ends. Reading your poem was like being in a 400 meter hurdle race. My tongue is worn out, yet I was silent the whole time! It feels like I just swallowed a dictionary!
Well done! Go ahead and toot your horn!
Hugs,
Kimbob

Thank you for your generous review! I hope your tongue has recovered.
I denounce cliche and sloppy writing rather than overuse (or else I'd have to denounce myself for using too much alliteration and metaphor in my own work!).

Thank you for the backgrond story to this poem. I swallowed words in my teenager's years. Forget the dates...I liked words in the English language, since that is my second language. I like this work in here, ingenuous and inspiring.

Thank you very much for your warm reception to my poem. You were lucky to be learning English in your younger years - it must be so difficult when one is older.

Fun. True. Ouch. I smiled as I identified with many of the observations along with my own judgments and reactions to reading the diverse writings.
I also wince when reading that man's routine words.
Thanks for writing:)

It takes all sorts. We all have different opinions about what constitutes good writing, or what appeals personally. I just had a bit of fun writing this with no malice intended. Thanks for your review!
