Another good continuation. The methodology described here is good and makes sense. It's a finely worked out and written scene.
Crescendo picked another location further away. - generally speaking, its farther for physical distance.

Loved this chapter! I liked that Master Crescendo had him practice on the wasps and not the bees. I think of bees as being more innocent that wasps too. I'm wondering what Piper will be able to do when he realizes his talent! I would want to be on his good side for sure!

So Piper can play the rhythm of the bees.
"Focus on what you want them to do." I want them to go away, far away.
though this could be useful in an encounter with Burkehart, who's lingering
around somewhere in the background.
Perhaps Piper can also influence weather, make storms rise or dissipate, make crops grow or wolves forget their hunger.
And when he is a bit older, Piper could be very popular with the girls. :)
Wonderful chapter, well worth the wait.

I've been off-site for a while. Delighted to read some more about Piper. I think this is a particularly good chapter. Piper is fortunate to have teacher who recognizes and trusts his abilities. But I felt my palms prickle in empathy as he fought to control his anxiety and keep on playing.

The horses get the apples that fall on the ground. Canning and juicing of course. We have a great applesauce recipe, apple butter, apple jelly, and the ever popular apple crisps and pies. Right now I've had enough of apples. Thank goodness we can not have one pear tree. Maybe that is why I like pears better. LOL

I've never tasted apple jelly. My husband is British and adores apple pies. I can't eat unpeeled apples. I sneeze. Must be allergic to something in the skin. :-))

paragraph after "a memorable warning."

Thank you for the great review. I am so happy you enjoyed this episode. Love your commentary on the wasps and the butterflies. I don't think I want to be around a swarm either. I'd probably run and end up with all sorts of stings.
