had to look u up, had'nt read this one...it is so sweet, this poem. i picked violets in the yard as a child and my mom put them in a shotglass. ... so yea, we smile.

That's a great attitude. Violets can be invasive and spread easily but they are pleasant and happy flowers otherwise so I can see that just smiling would be best and not fret about the lawn. Best wishes in the contest!

Good job with the prompt. Nice rhythm throughout. The picture choice is perfect. We have Jacaranda trees here and in the spring when they bloom the trees and the lawns below are a delightful lavender purple.
