Each people have different legends about these praising, terrible, hating creatures. I love it. A great work!

Ciao Yvette! I did enjoy your gnomes and I wrote quiet a bit about them and all the Naepolitan superstitions in one of the chapters of my thriller or so THE BLUE HOLE. This is a fun poem, YM. You handled the prompt well. I like the whimsy of your words. The image is a great pairing. The final line with a play on the word home with 'gnome' is great.

Gnomes are very handy when they do their job. The problem is they are lazy and everyone else gets the blame for them not doing their job.
