A tour de force of alliteration and wordplay. Even if this weren't ssssssuperb in itself, you'd deserve a bonussssss for taking on the mathematical challenge--way out of your comfort zone! Cheerssssss. LIZ

Rave review! Thanks so much. I only like math if I don't have to take off my socks to count.

Better yet not to have to remove both mittens.

I'm a fingerless glove-wearer, so I can still count fingers.

They should have used more glue on this one!
Love this one! The beautiful architecture, the sky blue, the classic blue/white theme. Emphasis on proportion and mathematics, so dear to the philosophers of Greece.
Simple, elegant text. Clean, precise, pleasant.
Well done!

Great job with the p-word alliteration! An nicely formed 15 syllable poem and what a great thing to write about the amazing Ancient Greek architecture. Amazing what they accomplished!

Lisa,
An excellent poem for a contest.
Great alliteration, and a true statement as far as I can tell.
It's amazing that a structure can withstand the elements for thousands of years.
Good luck in the contest, Lisa.
Best wishes,
Cindy

This fifteen-syllable poem, Grecian Grace, has the required syllables and extols the greatness of the ancients' building abilities.

This is definitely an example of 15 syllables, with a combination of p alliteration and short a assonance, too, in "classical math." Good luck in that contest.

Yes they are are all there the syllables I mean, which is more than can be said for some of the building blocks. The proportions are somewhat less than classical perfection these days, after standing so long in the Grecian sunshine.

As I get older, things out of proportion bother me. Proportions matter. Perfect proportions please the eye and soul. When things are out of proportion, it is troubling--something is wrong.
I've always found it remarkable that the Greeks and early mathematicians figured it all out. They used math in a way that pleases the very soul of man. Definitely something worthy of a poem.
Well done.

I have seen so many Greek relics and it always puzzles me how a country Like Greece is so poor when they have so much historic references to great philosophers and wise men. I have many happy memories of been in Greece and seeing all these amazing buildings that have been rescued from the passing of time, much enjoyed, love Dolly x
