Hello George,
I pray you are doing well. I read your portfolio and my prayers go up for your healing. This pandemic and the quarantine of people are the worst chaos I have seen in my life time. Your poem touches on things you have seen since its conception. I be honest, I also feel the republicans don't care, at least at this moment in time. You are correct, this virus is affecting every household in the U.S. as well as other countries. In 1918, that pandemic was really BAD~ Today, I feel this one could reach the same level as in 1918. Thanks for the link for the 1918 virus. This is a good poem about where we are today in this chaos. Great line, "Then, "Science and time gave us a great vaccine." Praise God.

Thank you for sharing the historical and political context for what we are going through and that it hit a hundred years ago - with the Spanish Flu but (some researchers say it started in a military camp in the US and our soldiers took it to Europe). You rondeau is well done and I am glad to here that you are taking care to stay safe during these times of Covid. Blessings of good health to you and to your kidney donor!
