What an utterly charming story--it makes me wish we were neighbors and I could learn the art of preserving from you. Of course, some of my relatives knew how to preserve, but I was much too young to learn before they passed away.

I enjoyed this very much. I can taste that juice! (Grape is a favorite of mine.)

Awww, thanks for reviewing. I?ve had a lot of fun in the garden this summer, and are starting to plant for Autumn. I?ve really learned a lot. I grew up a city girl. I love grape juice, too.

What a beautiful write. This warmed my heart...and my taste buds.

I never knew you could find grapes as such...how abundant nature is, and how abundant the flavours within the narrative. I could almost taste the words. I write so nicely. Bravo.
This has my six for content and delivery. A splendid writer with a splendid insight to live.

Great to read my friend.
Have a beautiful day.
Best wishes.RG

Roy, even your reviews are ripe with poetry. You are truly a gifted man. You are sweet, kind and ever so eloquent.
I am thrilled that you took time to read and review. I am overjoyed at the six star gift. How precious.
The next time I go to publish a book, I would be pleased if you would contribute a review for the cover.

    Thank you, again, Dear One,
    Rhonda

I'm impressed. Lots of hard work to produce food and drink for all the family. Personally I hate jelly and I prefer my wine to come already matured from top chateaux. My German grandmother used to make wine and it was disgusting, except for her rhubarb champagne which was delightful.

Wow! You are a busy lady. I love muscadines but I've never made a thing with them. I've heard they make good wine but I love to eat them. I guess not everyone does because you don't eating them. The grow all over the South but I don't have any vines. I buy them an Amish county store but the bucket full and eat them all. I enjoyed reading your nicely written story. I envy your energy to do all that food prep and gardening.

Thank you for your review, Beth. I?m glad you enjoy the grapes. I usually eat a few while cleaning them, but find them a bit tart. I?m such a sissy, lol.

Delightful humor and tempting recipes--I've got grapes in the fridge ready for munching soon as I sign off. Cheers. LIZ (Fix the junk stuff in the footnote.)

I love the folksy way you tell this story. I can just hear it being told on the radio, along with other adventures of all those relatives who get bribed to be there. You probably have tales to tell about becoming a master gardener.

Oh, this was adorable. You made me hungry with these tales of pickles enough for a family of 16, and the Muscadine grapes (smile), not to mention zucchini, cooking peas and drying dill. The picture looks delightful. Those are the grapes to die for. Thank you for sharing your gardening and cooking expertise, this was a great story which flowed very well, and I enjoyed it.

Love, Y.

I suspect you will be a fine master gardener. The illustration, of course, pairs perfectly and sets the stage for your words. This is well written and nicely done.

Hi Rhonda. (help me) LOL. I just couldn't resist and bet you've had to deal with that ll of your life.

Now, to your wonderfully composed posting on grapes and all. Hooray for hubby, first of all. for finding those Muscadine grapes. They obviously enabled you to create great things. Excellent.

Good writing, my friend, as always. : ) Bob

Hello Rhonda,
A wonderful story of the many delights that come from the bounty of the earth.
Blueberries are a great crop in this area, both wild and farm grown. They even make blueberry champagne. We used to pick buckets full.
I think the satisfaction from making ones own is often overlooked. And, it always tastes better. Juice, wine, jelly, jam, master gardener in the house.
Great post on how to make use of your time, when you're not writing poetry
and short stories.
Best wishes to you.
Robert

Thank you for the beautiful six stars, Robert. Sorry I?m late on the reply. I?ve been up to my elbows in cucumbers. I?m pretty sure we are more than set on pickles.

Interesting on the blueberries. I?ll bet they are scrumptious!

Thank you for your sweet comments!!

    Take care,
    Rhonda
