Roy, I really like your concept dealt with in this poem. Reading the scripture below, it hit me in a new way. At our very best, we still only see through a glass darkly. So of course the rest of the world is really stumbling around in darkness.

I think that wisdom is something that comes from NOT knowing everything and admitting it. I didn't feel confused reading this, but rather, felt my own human failing in always wanting to know everything. It's not possible, and you tell us this, in this beautifully constructed and delivered piece of poetry. As always, you never disappoint!

Roy,
Faith, Hope, asking for Wisdom, discernment, forgiveness
and so on. A pretty heavy load to understand; let alone
raise a family.
Your poem speaks of this complexity. I hang on to the
verse of coming to the Lord with the innocence of a child.
It is not easy but it will be worth it!
Blessings,
Richie

This is a very well written introspective poem, Roy. I think it is important to take time every once in a while to really think about our beliefs and what the future holds. For those of strong faith, the future is glorious. I'm glad we will be meeting in Eternity one day. :-)

Hello,
Knowing the unknown is step one... I especially like the following: "deep reflections seep, they gather in my soul, they are the future's timely ghosts as written on time's scroll." Thank you for a sensitive and thought provoking poem. - Lobber

I thoroughly enjoyed this poem. I found it a bit scattered at times. However after reading your script below it all comes together and upon re-reading the poem, it flows well. Thank you for sharing so many thoughts in such a short piece.

Wisdom is one of the Holy Spirit's gifts as is understanding. This poem ponders each and the fact that most of us receive only a smidgeon of each. To have full knowledge or full receipt of any of the 7 gifts would make us very responsible for what we would do with them. But then, if we had any of the 7 in abundance, I believe God would help us have the courage to go forth. Beautiful poem - one to set one of pondering...

Hello Roy. I enjyed this poem as I always enjoy your writing. particularly this part:
"I'll really know indeed as I am known.
But yet I'll have to bide my time till mystic wisdom's sown...."

Hi there royowen,
I must confess to being confused to the meaning of your poem-unless you are expressing the mystical side to human existence.
However, it reads and scans well, and some of the words are beautiful--and that's enough for me.
Best Regards,
Pete.
