This poem needs to be reader by everyone. I've heard a couple responses to "all lives matter" They said, "It's not the white people's house that's on fire, it's the black people's house that on fire." another one was very to the point, "Why does it have to be about you?" I guess I would say. " Just what's wrong with letting someone else have the affirmations and support?" This is a good topic.

A Fibonacci poem is rxtremely topical in 2020, the year of mathematics. This one is a particularly fine example by its shape. Its content is also excellent, but I feel that the image doesn't fit in well with the poem - too Sisyphussian for me.

Hello Katherine and thank you kindly for the wonderful review; I use this picture to project that fighting racism is like Sisyphus trying to roll that stone; appreciate your time.

maybe you could add that point to your author's notes.

Hello my friend
Nice entry for the Those who endure... writing prompt contest.
George Floyd is a good topic for your poem. His murder has become a world wide movement for
black lives matter and no justice no peace. It's gaining momentum and hopefully this time we will see some real change. Well done.

Well done - I love the Fib myself, and you wrote it so eloquently. A shape of both societal and individual thinking in the awfulness of what is going on. Good luck with the contest.

Yes, racism of all kinds in all disguises breeds hate, especially in the young and the impressionable... thank you so very much for sharing and best of luck! ;)

All racism is hateful and it happens on both sides of the fence, all lives matter not just black lives, we must champion human life as a whole without breaking it down and targeting just one section of society, a fine write, love Dolly x

As far as relatively innocent black folks being killed, it's been one sad incident after another this year. Truly shocking and heartbreaking. Something must be done about it. Thanks for sharing.

This is a wonderful tribute to George Floyd and his family. The poem flows effortlessly due to a beautiful format. I have two suggestions which in no way reflects the beauty of this poem. first " DO black lives too matter " instead of "Does". Secondly the "Too" should be after ,"Matter". Still a really beautiful poem. Best of luck in the contest.

That's absolutely perfect. I'm
so happy that we could help even
in the tiny way that we did.

This is a very well written and beautifully presented poem. I like the picture you chose because it has been a test of endurance and uphill battle all the way. Racism does breed hate. It is some we've learned from those who have gone before and it has unlearned.
