A very enjoyable little piece here. Well-written and paced. Alas, it is not the medical professional's dilemma of who to save... how could they possibly know... maybe they'll be next.

Scary stuff--you convey his terror for sure! There is a condition called Locked-In Syndrome is which a person is alive and aware but unable to move or communicate--fortunately tests can prove that he's not brain dead. Cheers. LIZ

This was absolutely awesome! I was sucked in right from the start. I was wondering what was happening, why, by whom? I had all the questions and I wanted to know the answers. This answer was way beyond what I would've thought would happen. Definitely thought you were a goner. Great job and good luck in the contest.

There was a period that should be a comma:
"...create this dead-looking state[.]" said three.
And this line: "An autopsy would put a damper on the day that I would not get over." This line was gold haha.

I like the way the story had a bob and weave feel to it. I never knew were you were going with it. That's some good writing. Right up until the end where the narrater claimed to be a murderer, I didn't expect that either. I enjoyed the story very much. The writing was excellent and the dialogue was perfect.
