Congratulations on the pub of your books.

But we enjoy and appreciate even thirteen words or phrases: "The bird speaks only thirteen incomplete sentences or phrases in Bengali, Hindi and English languages." One of my dear friends, who has since passed, had a parrot. Bert only spoke few repetetive phrases. Our favorite was, "Are you okay?" It was so precious. It was very sad when Rae knew she'd have to rehome Bert as her cancer was worsening.
This was a delightful story. Thank you.

This was a great story. I enjoyed the simplicity of it and the kind message behind it. It was a good read! We can all learn from someone or even something if we are willing to accept the message!

Thank you, thank you, and thank you for writing this review in two lines, and I know and find you have just joined this site today, yes today (as the site mentions) and you have shown your wisdom by writing your first review of my great work (you stated in your life?s first review? stating my work as a great work), I get this opportunity, so I write not to plead my work or not to say, write or prove how great I am, but to help you know your controversial and dubious comment and review (I have given a copy of your review hereunder) as you have written how great the work you read and at the same time you have not explained what is the cause or reason to offer a poor rating, maybe you have done this job for the first time, by the by, I have written more than 100,000 reviews, yes, more and more than 100,000 reviews, I also began my journey with my number one review some years ago, and completed the number of 100,000 positive reviews many months ago, and if you like, I invite you, and you may verify or check many references from my profile, anyway, please, please and please, you explain what makes you to grace the writing with poor rating, I am not convinced for your exceptional review is copied below for your instant reference:

I am not convinced, and or satisfied with your words and particularly what makes you to offer poor rating while you have not explained any reason of your offering a poor rate.

I do not plead my writing, but I request you to explain me the reason of great appreciation of the work but poor rating of the work at the same time.

I may think, you have clicked (maybe) your first review in your life (because you joined today, and there is no record about your review) just clicked wrongly or inadvertently; as it happens to anyone and with anyone at anytime.

If this hurts you, I am sorry, but it is my right to know and ask you for (requesting) for a clarification or explanation of your words you have written, as this site offers this right to a writer, from you as the reviewer.

Yes, I know, very well, I joined this site years ago; but I cannot challenge you or insist you for giving me higher rating, maybe you do not know the importance of rating in this site, since you joined this site today, maybe you have slipped into the column of a poor rating and inadvertently you have caused me to suffer.

This matter comes because you yourself have written about the work you have reviewed first time in your life.

If you like, you may go and edit your review and explain the reason of poor rating; choice is yours, wish is yours, judgment is yours, choosing the rating is yours, I cannot take away your right, my point is if you like you may explain in a word for I do not understand, and do not find your review and rating justification in terms of your great reviewing and poor rating.

Everything depends on you how you take up the matter for I know your wisdom.

If I had written like this, you also reacted being a human being.

Though you have not yet posted any work of yours, and this was your first review, I welcome you to read my reviews to know my art and style of reviewing.

I do not know if you have done this by mistake or not; but, I do expect you may explain your point so that I can improve my writing in the future.

Please do not take it at personal level; if this hurt you anyway, I am sorry.

I know to err is human, to forgive is divine.

I welcome you to this site, the world of writers and reviewers.

Wish you every success in your chosen goal,

    God bless you,

    With the kindest regards,

This is really a clever story about a very clever parrot. I love the picture as well. I have certainly heard that parrots can be smart and also loyal. Good writing and I wish you the best.

How very interesting that the parrot knew that his dear friend had died and did not find the words to convey to your family that the neighbor had died. I wonder if the bird knew or only sensed that the neighbor had died. This displays an extraordinary sensitive power that no one had noticed before probably. It is all the more noteworthy that after the family had the chance to say their goodbyes to the deceased, the bird resumed his speaking and interacting with the family.

I enjoyed the story of Mac the parrot. The fact that a parrot could speak three languages in incomplete sentences is amazing since I only speak one. Very interesting story. Great job!

Thank you for sharing this post with us. I find it amazing that Mac could speak so many languages and words. In the town I grew up in there was a restaurant that had a Myna bird, in the lobby as you entered. He spoke, extremely well also. He always amazed me.

I bought my father a cockatiel about twenty fiver years ago... "Charlie" became my dad's best friend as my father aged in life. He taught him little songs that were terribly outdated (Like Pop Goes the Weazel and Mary Ann sifting sand). Of course Charlie could not speak three languages and his sentences are limited to hello, charlie's a pretty bird and what are you doing. We all laughed .... Now, after my father has passed, Charlie greets me each morning and when he whistles the songs... memories flood in.
Smiles, Carol

Engaging narrative about the beloved parrot Mac. I was touched by the thought that somehow the parrot had not only sensed the death of Williamson but in his own way had made the others aware. This is a delightful tale. The quick conversational style captured and held the reader's attention. The parrot photo pairs well here. Good job!
