Whenever I read any Triolet, it reminds me of the late Gungalo on this site; this was the form she used quite often. Your poem is beautifully penned, with perfect, vivid description of this marvelous bird; our national bird; thanks for the treat.

This poem came out beautifully. Well thought out. Clearly written. Nice visual imagery. Also, quite fitting for Memorial Day, but we're in different countries... Idk now. Nice work. God bless you :)

Eagles are truly majestic creatures that were once endangered, but are making a comeback. They perfectly balance their power with grace, much like this poem. A nice example of a triolet.

Not only do you give great descriptions of the soaring eagle, in your Triolet, but also of the effect that it has on the watcher. Both repeated lines work well to show the effect of the soaring eagle.Nicely done Tony,
cheers,

Blessings Tony. I enjoyed this triolet. I've always thought that although eagles fly with what seems to be such effortless ease, the fact is, that if they are in the air they are there for a purpose and that is to hunt! I think our Founding Fathers chose well when they chose the eagle as our national symbol instead of the turkey. LOL!

Thank you, Frank. Noble birds, indeed. Without getting into any political discussion, you have your turkeys, too - as do we all! We just need to keep an eagle eye on them!

tfawcus: love your eagle poem. Great use of rhymes in your
triolet. Photo of my favorite bird is amazing! They fly over
the Des Moines River with such ease. They are powerful and
graceful. Have a wonderful weekend. flylikeaneagle

Thank you from one eagle lover to another!
Comment from Raffaelina Lowcock
This is a whimsical kind of poem that sets us thinking about the wondrous bird. The Eagle, the symbol of the USA, must be one of the strongest birds on Earth. When I think about it I wonder of its purpose.
Everything here has a purpose, yet I am not privy to all. I wish I knew more. I enjoyed the read.

Thank you so much for your review, Raffaelina. Some of the creatures on this earth are beyond our understanding.
Comment from Sandra du Plessis
A very well-written Triolet about the eagles soaring and spread the light that always amazes us to look up and see an eagle soaring the skies while seeking for prey on the ground.
