Very nice take on a universal pledge of allegiance. Very creative and thank you for sharing. I really like the fact that you have referred to possible other worlds by writing "world(s)." Very clever!

Dear gracious author and fellow Fanstoryian,

Remarkable job!! Thanks for sharing this with Fanstory!!!

I vow fealty to the galaxy
and world(s) in which I inhabit
and to the Consolidated Governance
as it presently stands, one multiverse
under God, infinitely congenial,
with freedom and neutralism for all...

A real great read!!!

very interesting read. im especially into the author's notes pertaining to the use of the word "neutral". i wonder if given your explanation, you might use the original word " justice" in your poem.
all in all a fine effort.

This write is imaginative and interesting for sure. I like questioning that makes people think. Wouldn't it be a wonderful world if all of humankind would come together for the good of all.

Dear Opal Rose,
Great poem, much like a pledge of allegience to the universe. My only critique is the formatting should include more breaks. Otherwise very lovely, cheers.

A lovely piece, nicely done. It is concise and compelling to read.
I very much like the ending
"one multiverse
under God, infinitely congenial,
with freedom and neutralism for all." A nice play on words and allusion to the U.S. pledge of allegiance.
There is a slight grammatical error near beginning,
"and world(s) in which I inhabit"
Believe it should read:
and world(s) which I inhabit

Thank you for your author's notes. I've never wanted your vision more than I do in today's divisive, troubled world. Out of the box thinking to develop your own "Pledge" to be all inclusive and aimed at achieving universal peace. I was touched by the hope (and determination) woven within your poem.--Karenina

Wow, just wow. This was an amazing poem. I read it several times and each time I felt another level of your message. In this current, divided world, your poem should be read by everybody to gain some perspective on what is important. Awesome work, good luck in the contest!

Opal--
No matter how big you go, no matter the Titan of human government buried beneath Mt. Ida, on Crete, in tears you still go with that bit added to the pledge of allegiance, "under God." That was, if I am not mistaken, added, to suit folks like you. Not me. What if I am a member of the Freedom from Religion Foundation? Well, then, your pledge does not work, at all. I see utterly no understanding of that, or that the "galactic" elements of your pledge might simply be about us accepting our larger inheritance?

Sorry, I cannot subscribe to your pledge.

Best
Wabigoon/Jeff
