This 5-7-5, Past Endeavors, has the right set up and brings the reader to remembrance of our strong and valiant foundation on which we go boldly forward.

Hello my friend
Beautiful entry for the 5-7-5 writing prompt contest. Good syllable count. Lovely presentation. The lines connect grammatically and helps to flow. Well done.

And we are always reminded of the victories of the past - an interesting angle on the troubles we presently endure - let's look back and see what we've accomplished - a lovely pic

A poignant write and history does play a huge part in future decisions but nothing is set in stone and we continue to make the same mistakes over and over again, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Nice photo/text compliment. Good structure. Relevant Idea. Reflects hope. Plain, simple statement. Nothing to suggest.
Thank you for the opportunity to review your poem
Well done!

How I adore that image, festivity caught mid-action. Your poem meets the 5-7-5 requirements and the message can't be argued with. These poems tend to bore me as they are often predictable and rely on pat phrases - yours almost does that - but I have a soft spot for history and historical places and I know how true this is. I'd love it if a great word could be replaced for "past history" - like "antiquity" but that isn't quite right either and it isn't my place to write your poem :) I'm giving you a five - but it is an "on the fence" 5 :)

You have made effective use of your seventeen syllables in this inspirational piece. Yes, all countries and individuals must learn from the past, recalling both the bad and the good.

I like your optimistic outlook, and there probably is truth in your prediction.
(I don't know what to make of the photograph.
The phone is quite old, but apparently not old enough to be singled out as a major innovation. ??)

What do you think of Ben Franklin, or another innovative thinker?
Comment from Von S. Bourland
So very true! I can't help but think of the song, "Where Have All the Flowers Gone?" If we don't learn from the past, we have no future.
Keep writing and keep safe!
