This was ice. I personally would change the word 'feel' in the 3rd line to the word 'find.' It makes more sense then, but this is only my opinion. Good luck with the contest.

Thanks for reviewing my poem. I respect your opinion - it is the purpose of a review to gain an insight to how someone else reacts to one's writing.
In this case, as explanation, I put the word 'feel' in on purpose to link some rhyme through the poem with 'reveal, feel, and heal', and also to link with the photo, where the couple's hands are touching.

I'm interpreting this as a man or woman scared to make a full commitment. But their partner is very kind, calm and reassuring. So that is why this relationship will prevail. Great job!

You are spot on in your interpretation of what I was aiming for. In other interpretations, it could be someone worried about another aspect of their life... we have to guess at why their heart might be hardened - for instance: has the partner been unfaithful and the other is struggling to forgive? Or, does one of them dislike someone and their partner is trying to get them to see the good in that other person?
