We have teachers in our family, too. They had to teach online and was difficult at first but finally accomplished what they set their mind to. Hoping that they don't have to teach that way in the fall. Pray!

Your husband and I could sit and commiserate - lol!! ;) Although, I don't 'teach' per se -- I post to YouTube and the students submit questions/work from that... thank goodness. Cannot even begin to try to 'host' a class online (although the work/grading/returning process is pretty grueling as is all the 'lecture prep' and then the actual filming of all the lectures!) ... ;) Take care!! ;) Yvette

I know he is complaining about the luck of interaction and about the impossibility of having a lab on-line.

Hi Iza, I enjoyed reading your story. We're all frustrated by this awful turn of events with Covid-19. Throughout your piece there are some typos that need correction. Here are a few:
"I heard (it) is not easy to teach on-line."
"trying to handle a conference call working on (delete on) the same time on a spreadsheet"
"So I was force (forced) to train my visual memory,"

Overall, this is a delightful story with humor and ends on an upbeat and positive note.

I"m glad to be reading anothe of your Coronella tales!

Both working from home...wow! That could be insane. We're all home, too - my hubby, my daughter, her 4 kiddos and me. I'm working from home, hybby is retired, and all kids are out of school (schooling at home). It's a messed up mix, sometimes!
Found one error:
heard is not easy>> heard it's not easy
I still love the Coronella tag! lol
Thanks for a fun read. Blessings to Y'all and stay safe.

Thank you so much Deb, my furry kids drives me nachos when they want to sneak out after birds, and they can't because are illegal. My building has a no pet policy. Thanks God I have them, other wise I will go crazy with anxiety

The ups and downs of working from home came across with wit and humor in this chapter. A couple of grammar errors Learnt learned My husband and I Was forced to train from visual memory. This chapter was a bit more upbeat; you appreciate learning new computer skills that you can put to use looking for better jobs; and you seem to be looking forward with more determination to a day post virus. A day when we can go back to some kind of normal. estory

This I find interesting. Where did you used to do your writing before Corona?
I was slightly organized, with a small desk (just room for a printer and computer), and a wooden chair. A second chair serves for extra papers to spill over and become lost on. So I just re-named this my office. Tricky, as it is uncomfortable for a full day, and I need to keep work papers separate (they go on the printer as I can't print (ink is not essential - maybe I too will be driven to use Amazon). I am thinking of moving the bulky printer to my glory hole for the duration).

I used to do my writing from my bed or a couch, but is uncomfortable to apply the same schematics for work, because I am spending more hours and I am using a laptop with a portable key and mouse. The laptop sits on top of my kitchen table (which pretty high) and in front of the table I have a foldable activity table where sits my keyboard and mouse, in this way the laptop sits higher and doesn't kill my ergonomics:) and I have enough space for my hands on that table so I am not killing my hands. You should try it, your productivity will increase 100%

Might as well look on the bright side of troubles, and stay positive in our thinking. It makes life more bearable and productive.

More error than usual, so I'll point some out.
the day that they send me home (should be 'sent')

But I was lucky it came in 3 days ( A period after 'lucky'. Capital I for 'it) You have two sentences here.

Guess what, they can do it, should be Guess what? They can't do it.

Some commas are not needed. You can find comma rules online.

Scary last line.

I enjoyed this journal entry. You did a good job describing how work from home is turning out for you and your husband. I believe the online teaching would be very difficult. Also, I believe many students (elementary) could care less about tuning in; and, some may not have computers. Thanks for sharing. Stay safe and be positive. We will win! Respectfully, Jan

Guess what? They ( can't ) do it

in the paragraph about the kitties near the end---carie--->carry
