This is a very nice opening post for your theme in the NaPoWriMo. Some excellent lines within your 5-7-5 series. Last two are particularly moving, ending on a hopeful note. Marilyn

Thanks for your comments. I added a couple of stanzas just yesterday to that first posting, recognizing that the sentiment in the last 2 lines is what will see us through this pandemic. Our Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern, uses "Be kind" as her main line in communications.

You keep writing LisaMay. Come what will, never stay your thoughts from coming forth. We are all in this together, from dawn to dusk death is always staring, waiting for a chance to add to his numbers. So write woman and try to bring smiles where there are none. :) I will do the same, though for a while I forgot. Take care of yourself, a friend from Texas.

How sad but true, Lisa May. You expressed life as we currently live it directly, succinctly, and in perfect rhyme. I enjoyed your poem very much. It's just sad that there was a need to write it.

This 5-7-5, A Window on My World, has the right set up and notes the odd opposites we are pursuing during the season of trouble. Instead of huddling together we seek distance.

A very well-written 5-7-5 recording day by day the feelings of someone being in lockdown all alone with no one else around but her own company. I wish you luck and cannot wait to see how creative you can become in solitary.

Concise and to the point. Your poem could be made into posters on the streets! I hope people will be able to be express their affection to friends again after all this passes. One wonders...

I think many things will have changed after this is over, but let's hope that physical affection returns or else our 'hugs' will all be virtual. Touch is so important.

We have just completed 15 days of distancing here and are now asked to do the same for another 30 days. I am going to use the time to write and review more and watch a whole lot less of the news.

I hope you will be safe too! When you think of it, we all over the world, are in the same boat! Who would have thought this might happen? I wish you well in the NaPoWriMo month of April. Drew xx

YOU stay safe, Lisa. Your poem is in good form and so timely. You did a good job with the message both in your words and the picture. Together they make an eerie sign of the times. You are off to a great start with the challenge. Best wishes. Thanks for sharing. Respectfully, Jan

This is dreadful--not your piece!--which is excellent--but the plague that compels the writing. This 5-7-5 packs a powerful punch. So glad we have this outlet. Stay (?) sane. Cheers. LIZ
