Wow! I love how you connected the "crown" virus to Jesus' thorny crown, painful & uncertain. Many will relate to your poem; the first two lines had me hooked and the clever rhyme scheme and thoughtful comparisons (disease is now our enemy for example; particularly concerning because it's so unpredictable) had me wanting to read more. Maybe you'll write a part 2 eventually. You could create a pandemic poetry series! Excellent craftsmanship.

Dear Amy, thanks for your compliments and review. I have written a couple of other poems about the virus, this month, such as "Corona," and "From a (social) Distance" Dove

In some countries, this is how the streets are looking : deserted and sad, the only people on the street being the law enforcers. Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings.

Dove Marie,

I agree this is God's will. I think there are some unbelievers getting ready to ask about our hope in the midst of this fearful pandemic. I hope we all ready to give them our answer. I enjoyed your poem and the connection you made between God and what is going on.

Everything you've said is so true. I enjoyed reading this poem. It is so current and really resonates. "Christ has taken his thorny crown and set it on our head." Yes he has! Well done. Respectfully, -January L.
