Hahahahaha! OMG.

Pandemic Pests
by Dawn for Rox (lol)

I have to remark, your poem is a lark,
so you really ought not complain...
With the words you have scribed
little fly seems alive, and I swear
this would make a refrain.

For the chorus, of course,
he could fall off his horse
and we'd host a sombre parade!
We'd invite many flies, and the sad, grieving guys
would make up the Devil's brigade. :))

Funny poem to go with a funny choice of photos. I heard this made people laugh a lot on Facebook (the photo, I mean). I suspect this won't be a Pictionary variation anytime soon, though! Favorite lines: find a fly who's deceased...Fun and game for every child. Thanks for posting.

Sorry I have taken 4 mos to reply. =] I've not been on forever. I had a serious bout of depression and am just getting back to myself. Hope all is well with you. What a weird year this has been.

It's ok! Sometimes it seems the more creative people get the worst depression. I had a stomach ulcer and digestion issues that made some depression issues worse for 11 years. Hope you are doing better.

A very well-written poem about the effects of the covid virus has on our lives. We are on lock down too from today up to date the 17 April. The past week I was working on masks for a big transport company and I definitely need a good rest.

Rox,

Where on earth did you find that combo of images??? That is AWESOME. My 3-1/2 yo granddaughter is here and I had to stop everything and show her. What fun. What imagination! And the drawing skills ain't bad, neither!

Your poem was just right to accompany it. Great job, my sweet friend!

Thank you!!

Haha! Gosh, sounds like my house! With 4 adults and 2 children, it definitely calls for emergency creative measures! Got the 4 year old great grandson a t-ball set to help get him some outside activities and burn the excess energy! Thanks for sharing! xoxo

You Think It's Yours
by damommy

Hello my friend

Your picture cracks me up. LoL I love it. It's going to be longer than April 7th... Don't listen to Trump. He is an ignorant lier. He only cares about himself and the stock market. Many more people will die if they listen to him. We are up to 1000 people dead in the USA and the number keeps rising. It's going to be at least a couple of months.

Good job with the poem.

So sorry to be so long in thanking you. Have been having to work from home and am so off my usual schedule. ={ Thanks so much. Actually I like Trump. He cracks me up and I'll take him over a smooth politician any day I think hes doing all he can to stop this thing, but you have to admit if our economy tanks were all in big trouble. So of course, he and many others are worried about that. Take care. Rox

I'm simultaneously grossed out and amused by this, Roxanna - but, considering I'm smiling, it looks like the amused part is winning.

This is a very cute and clever poem, with your usual unusual look at life. Your rhymes, as always, work very well.

Just a couple of quick proofing points:
- In your opening comment, it should be, "When you're ordered ..."
- "Wits" needs an apostrophe after the "s."

You?re very welcome, and no problem about the delay. We?re all dealing with changes, and we have to support each other.

Love the title, but not the notes. The residents where I am now have been in lockdown for a week, one of two. I was hoping 14 days would be enough. If I had small children, I'd go bonkers.
Love the pictures. Did you draw them and insert real flies? LOL

Hi Roxanna, I liked your poem a lot, which describes our situation very well. It takes some time to get used to. By the second week, you've come to terms with it and accepting that's how it is going to be for the foreseeable future. Here in Spain we have been in lock down for 11 days and the numbers of cases and the death rate is rising at a frightening speed. We have one of the world's best health care system, and it's struggling. Ulla:)))

I guess we have to occupy ourselves somehow Rox, and looking for a dead fly is as good as it gets, I've got Fanstory at least, most of my wife's activities are a driving distance away. Beautifully written couplet rhyming post, a funny, entertaining write Rox, well done, blessings Roy
