This is such a beautifully penned free verse, it gives one much to think about. Your message is very insightful and will have one reaching back for those good memories.
I believe we all have taken that walk down memory lane and asked ourselves where did the time go and did we live life to the fullest. My friend, I have made many mistakes in my life, but I am so grateful that we serve a loving and forgiving God. I am blessed to be In His care and that in spite of all my faults, he saw my needs. His grace and mercy has shown me favor.

Hi Portia, I think we all have all done things in our lives...we would rather not remember...but those are the things that gave us wisdom in life...wisdom that put us on the right path...it'd like learning how to drive...you may go off the path a few times...but with experience and discipline...you learn how to stay as close on that path as you can...
and with the love of God...with all the gifts and blessings He has given us...we have nothing to fear...

Hi Pam, thank you sweet girl for a wonderful review....as I get older seems I look back in time more...but I will say...there are better good times than bad...thank you...I am doing well...had a couple eye surgeries...but one is healed...and the other is fighting me...LOL...doc said just to limit my reading time...hope to be healed total soon...thank you...and I hope you are doing we too...love you...Linda xxoo

With my health issues and age that's all I do is sit and think about all of the good old memories from years gone by. Even late at night when sleep won't come, my mind wanders. I think that line is from a poem that I wrote many years ago, but it's true for most of us.
This is a great poem. Many of the older members will review it saying just what I have said, "I can relate."
And, that picture you selected is just perfect for your words.
I'll be so glad when both of us can start writing again. We both have a lot to say, but we can't because of our health right now. But we will, right?
Take care of those eyes...I have had to wear two-sided medical-grade adhesive tape on my upper eyelids every day for years just to hold them open so that I could see. The MS shut down the muscles that control the movement of my eyeballs and eyelids 28 years ago. Without the tape, I would basically be blind. So, YOU listen to what your doctor tells you...Take care old buddy and I'll talk to you soon...Bill
