I really liked this. I am a big comic fan so it was a topic I was familiar with. Your poem was spot on technically but really hit the mark in its capture of the Joker. I appreciate the write up as well as I have yet to see the movie. Good luck in the contest. Great submission.

That poor man, betrayed by his mother and society. It might have been the boyfriend that abused him but his mother allowed it. If she was scared of him, she should have just run away with her son. So sad to read things like this. I hope the boyfriend was jailed. Your poem tells the whole story, in just those few words we can seen the child crying and the torment he suffered. I'm afraid of clowns! Never liked them as a child. Well done, and good luck in the contest! :)) Sandra xxx

Yeah, you've summed up the mind of the joker beautifully. I don't think that sanity ever resided there. It would not be welcome. He probably has crazy brain antibodies that lash out and destroy sane thoughts. This is really good and I enjoyed reading this well written work. Well done!

I am not much of a moviegoer, but your description really makes me want to see this one.First of all, you did a great job with your dark eerie poem. Then your authors notes added a lot of explanation that actually added to your poem. I couldn't get the video to play, maybe my iPad was just having a bad day. This is a great presentation.
