Congratulations, my friend -- this sublime poem is so worthy of the win! I'm sorry I am so far behind. I'm just not on the site nearly as much as I was, but I'm very glad I didn't miss this jewel!

Wow, O Canadian Lady - what a wonderful surprise this morning!! :) So good to hear from you! ;) Many thanks for the congrats and the stars.... but, honestly, the best part is that little grin of yours there in the listing! :) Hope you're taking care up there -- Spring's coming soon! Hooray! ;) Yvette

well, the triple crown! my goodness.
congratulations, madame!
It is a lovely poem, Yvette. Although I doubt very much that you have a jaded soul.
"Silken whispers" - what a pretty phrase.
Congrats again,
Katharine

Let's just say that I've gotten very good at smiling through certain things... :) :) But I'm so happy to hear you say that, my Beautiful LoneStar Lady -- you truly have me smiling over here! ;) And I'm glad you enjoyed this one.... 'twas from that place we all visit sometimes of needing shelter from the comments and the harshness that life can be and even if that's just silence and another's breathing, that's good, too. :) :) May sunshine and solace find you this weekend, Katharine! ;) Yvette

    Thank you, Yvette!!!
I will most happily enjoy the sunshine and solace this weekend before a root canal Monday. ugh
Then a'course, I'll have to write a poem about it, although - second thought - there might be a bit of cussin in it.
Hope you have a happy weekend and dont have to grade papers.

Thanx, LIZ -- glad you enjoyed this one! :) We do all need a place of shelter from the comments and the harshness that life can be sometimes and even if that's just silence and another's breathing, that's good, too. :) :) Oh, and the text: just be sure to use the advanced editor when your entering your text for a post -- it lets you do a whole lotta stuff! ;) May sunshine and solace find you this week! ;) Yvette

Thanks, Yvette. Yes, the advanced editor is a big help on the text--but it doesn't apply to the footnote section, wherein we need to italicize title references. I've been forced to use quotation marks as a poor compromise. I did mention this to Tom--I asked if it would be permissible to put our notes at the bottom of the piece itself.

LOL! Yeah, not too sure about the 'many' but I take what I can 'buy' ... LOL!! ;) :) :) You are far too kind, sir, but I do so appreciate your review -- and, I know I said it before and have not yet had a chance to respond to your response, but WELCOME Back!! It is really good to see that smile and get your perspective again!! ;) Take good care out there! ;) Yvette

This five-line poem, Murmurations of the Heart, has the proper formatting and describes the subtle feelings we experience as soothing begins in our souls. Nice.

Whispers are what the soul desires to smile through the tears. An escape from the pains of life is best shared with a pillow and a sheet sleeping. Tomorrow is another day. Very nice5 Line Poem Yvette. Squeeze that pillow harder. :) ;)

Yvette,

From what I know of your poetry, there is not a jaded part in your soul. LOL. Do like the phrasing for silken whispers and quiet solace.

Cute idea about your coloring of text, which is a good companion to your artwork.

Once again, one of my favorites. I'm gonna have to try the advanced method of posting. You've taken the already lovely poem and enhanced it perfectly. Thank you for sharing... and teaching, again. Good luck.
Happy writing,
Larry
