Well done. Very sly--I loved the witty self-deprecation. Reminds me so much of my two years taking enforced piano lessons. Re my dancing skill---let's just say my enthusiasm is often mistaken for talent. Cheers. LIZ

I love dancing and I tried everything from the dances you described except tap dance. I love free styling if you feel the music you can dance anything. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for the review and comments. You are right -- the dance is more about the music than the audience

ES,

Hmmmm... Hard to tell whether you are being humble or totally sincere. Though I am POSITIVE you are being frank about the way you FELT about the experiences. *smile*

I imagine you were (and are) probably much better and far more graceful at dance than you let on, or perhaps, even imagine. But your story was well written and I enjoyed. I think you did a great job of pulling all these memories together in a cohesive manner.

Thanks and good luck in the voting!

This is an interesting story. It seems you were actually exposed to it all of your life and I imagine you got pretty good at it in spite of thinking you might be the worse in class. My mother gave me piano lessons but I had trouble making my hands to different from each other. She also told me I couldn't sing so she gave me speech lessons. At least you daughter will do it if that is what she wants to do. Good for you.

Thanks for this! It manages to illustrate both if at first you don't succeed AND you can't be what you're not. I'm like you in that I'm clumsy and uncoordinated. I have a good sense of rhythm, but my body doesn't know that. Your story is funny and shows a sense of humour and tolerance. You don't necessarily have to be good at something to have fun.
