I like the dual meaning in this. It is a great metaphor for true love.
It should be there forever and help you through bad times.
Your artwork matches perfectly and reminds me of valentines
we made back in grade school.

Cute, short poem that brings the essence of love in with a metaphor of glue. If only glue could hold love, and love could be squeezed out as needed. Nice rhyme scheme. Congrats on win.

A masterpiece it has grace charm vitality and perseverance with humour wit and determination the idea and imagery work well producing a glue like picture in the mind it gets stuck there lol.

Your well-crafted verse is fun! Who doesn't love valentine's made with lots and lots of Elmer's glue? Oh...and my married name is "Truelove." Gotta love your poem, my last name, and that wonderful holiday that makes "Elmer" smile! :)

Great entry for the Valentine Poem contest, and best of luck. Very attractive presentation with the ingredients of the red hear and Elmer's glue in the picture. A great idea about staying together and holding the partner together in old age. Great idea. Light-hearted, yet with the spirit of romance. judi

What an excellent promise and loved the comparison to making love work to the use of Elmer's Glue. Very cute and only 20 syllables to make us laugh...
